YANGKUN YK-800 Airway Clearance System

Description

The YANGKUN YK-800 is an airway clearance system based on high-frequency chest wall oscillation (HFCWO). The device is worn by the patient as a pneumatic vest and generates rapid, rhythmic pressure oscillations across the entire chest surface, loosening accumulated sputum and promoting its natural clearance.

The device operates by alternately inflating and releasing air in the vest’s pneumatic chambers at a frequency of 1 to 20 Hz. The resulting vibrations spread across the chest, break up viscous mucus, and move it from the peripheral bronchi into the larger airways for subsequent coughing or aspiration. The procedure requires no special staff training and can be used at home.

The device features a touchscreen with a Russian-language interface and supports three oscillation modes: standard, ramp-up, and cyclic. This allows therapy parameters to be precisely tailored to the individual patient, from children to adults. The delivery set includes pneumatic vests in several sizes: pediatric, S, M, and L.

Indications for Use

• Pulmonology: COPD, cystic fibrosis, bronchiectasis, chronic and recurrent pneumonia;
• Neurology: spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy;
• Intensive Care and Surgery: postoperative rehabilitation, ventilator-associated pneumonia, respiratory failure due to chest trauma.
