The breathing circuit is 1.8 m long. The mask comes in various sizes: to correctly select mask size, the mouth and nose must fit inside it when placed on the face. The upper edge of the cushion should not sit too close to the bridge of the nose. Leaks are not acceptable. A tracheostomy tube adapter or mouthpiece can optionally be chosen as an alternative to the mask.
The bacterial filter must NOT be rinsed or disinfected! Once soiled, the filter must be replaced. The bacterial filter protects the device and the patient’s airways from phlegm ingress.
After each use, the breathing circuit and patient interface must be rinsed with a mild liquid cleaning agent and water, then thoroughly dried.
